huskie0302
I've ran braid on all my reels for some time. I have been kicking around with using a fluoro leader. Do you use a leader on Texas rigs? Wacky rigging? Drop shotting? When do you guys use a leader. Thanks for the help
Popr29
I use a leader on all my spinning gear with braid. The cool thing with using braid is the feel and doesn't twist like Mono or fluorocarbon, plus you can switch your leader to lighter line for clear water and heavier for dirtier. For drop shotting I usually run a 6lb. To 8 lb. Gamma fluorocarbon leader, for wacky worming I'll run a 10 lb. to 12lb. Leader, but can always change to lighter or heavier for whatever the condition is.
delmuts
I used it for any clear water conditions. But mainly wacky, plan to use it for drop shot, and have it on one crank bait rod. I also use it on my panfish and walleye rods.
huskie0302
Yes, I've ran leaders while walleye fishing. I was wondering if I would get more bites finesse bass fishing. How big of a leader you run wacky rigging and drop shotting? Thanks for the advice. I'm a walleye guy switching into bass.
thatoneguy
Depending on water clarity, I'll use a fluoro leader anywhere between 2-6'. It certainly seems to produce more bites for me.
