adjusting transducer on trolling motor to see your bait

Recommended Posts

I never see my line and bait on my front fish finder, I suppose this is because the transducer is not pointing straight down. Anybody have a good way of adjusting this or is it just trial and error. I did try a little wedge between the transducer and bottom of trolling motor but did not get it right yet. The wedge didn't stay in very long either, may need some glue.

Beef- It could be a bunch of different issues.. What unit is it? Do you have the sensitivity up high enough? Is your ducer scratched? Are you getting feedback from the motor/ another unit?

First things first, is the trolling motor shaft vertical when deployed with you in normal fishing position? I would get one of those little levels like are used when setting posts to check. Or you could try a regular level.
