Does anyone use lead core for lake trout? When I troll for lakers I've been using mono on a 3 way rig, typically with 2 or 3 ounce weights. Today I got a hold of an 8.5 ft heavy action rod, with high capacity reel (can't remember brand). Was curious if there is any major benefits to using lead core? Or would it be better to just stick with mono? Most of the info I've been finding online has been geared more towards walleye fishing, so any input would be greatly appreciated! smile
