Jeremy airjer W
Year, Make, Model, and Engine Size? There are a couple of engine options so this is important.I assume you have a 5.4 liter. Did you try swapping the coil with another cylinder before replacing it? Have you checked to see if the number two coil is producing spark? What brand of plug did you use?A bad cat will typically cause a bank to misfire. So there would me misfires on 1-2-3-4 or on 5-6-7-

Jeremy airjer W
A bad injector certainly could cause a misfire. So can a weak cylinder or dirty valves, bad wiring, bad computer, etc....Just to make sure you replaced the spark plug and coil for the second cylinder on the passenger side. You checked to make sure that the coil is capable of producing spark when the misfire is present? this is important!
Macgyver55
Just to make sure you replaced the spark plug and coil for the second cylinder on the passenger side. That was my first thought! I've gotten to the point of verifying every time now that I dont work on them as often as I used to.
