1996 Mercury 200 EFI Offshore

Looking for advice on this motor. Anyone have good/bad experiences? Are there any particular areas/problems I should looking for?

This particular motor had the power head replaced in 2013 and the lower unit in 2014 and according to the current owner has not been used much since the work was done. It is located several hours from me and there are no nearby marine mechanics to take it to for a compression test, so I will try to do it myself when I look at the boat this upcoming weekend. What should I expect for compression? How much cylinder-to-cylinder variability is considered "ok" for this motor?

As far as that specific motor, I don't have much history on it... the motors from that generation were decent... but given the repair history, I'd be a little curious what the rest of the story is... seems like a bit of a gamble given the distance and the reported issues.
