smsmith Posted March 5, 2015 Share Posted March 5, 2015 Maybe the DNR should take some money from the deer feeding fund and plant some stands of white cedar.Even if they had to cage the trees until they got big it would be better then doing nothing! Good idea IMO. Heck, I'd be happy to support an additional $5 per license if those funds were guaranteed to go only for improving deer habitat on public hunting land. I don't hunt public land and likely never will...but I feel that extra money would be going to a good cause.Problem is...that would require a DNR who is interested in a larger, healthier deer herd.
