Depends on the size of the job. A spray foam company isn't going to come out to your place,set up and only spray a froth pack worth of material. So for small jobs where you are using one or maybe two it works out. If you need to buy several to do a bigger job it may be better to call a pro.

Yes they work great. They tend to make a little mess. So if you're doing any overhead work with it make sure you get a Tyvek suit with hood and wear safety glasses. If you get any on you or anywhere you don't want it, let it fully cure before you scrape it off.

Prepare the area before hand with drop cloths, because once you start you can't stop for more than 30 seconds unless you have spare nozzles on hand.

Just a FYI for any one near the area. The Menard's in Brooklyn Park is shutting down for a long term remodel and has everything on sale at like 15% off. Not sure if they have any of the foam packs left or not?
