LindellProStaf
I am looking at a 2002 GMC 1500 truck that is cherry. It has a 4.8 engine. I wish it had a 5.3. A friend of mine tows his 26' 5th and says it is just fine unless he encounters a big hill. Then it slows him down. I have a 25' Lite 5th wheel. We don't go on long trips. I am wondering if the 4.8 will be much of an issue? I sure like this truck so appreciate any comments.
hamms-scooter
You will do just fine with the 4.8. I also go on Silverado sierra forums and many guys pull what you mentioned with their 4.8. I was looking for the 5.3 originally also but wanted a rust free cherry condition rig and it happen to have the 4.8. I have no regrets.
