2015 SD Archery MD

Recommended Posts

I'm starting to plan a 2015 MD hunt to SD. Currently looking at the northwest corner of the state, 100% public land. Right now I'm zeroing in on the short pine hills area. Anyone have experience hunting this area? I'm particularly interested on the school lands, because they don't have much info on their site. Thanks for the help!

One thing you'll find out is that the ranchers that lease the schools lands are quick to discourage hunters...mostly because they think they should be allowed to control hunting access.

Good to know. I know that you are allowed to hunt on school land, and letting the leasee know about it is encouraged. I'll have to make sure my "i's" are dotted and "t's" are crossed.
