bklimek
Looking to take a multi-species (walleyes, pike, smallies..in that order) fishing trip in early June to Canada as I've never been. I've heard great things of Lac Seul so I'm leaning that way but open to other drive to locations. Also, any resort recommendations? Not looking for 5 star accommodations...looking for 5 star service and fishing.
leechlake
also check out the Morson area. It's closer and in the 50 or so times I've been there we had one three day trip that wasn't very good. 49 out of 50 is dang good.
bklimek
I'm assuming you are fishing LOTW. Any recommendations on resort?
walt501
Try Lost Island Lodge on Lac Suel. The family has been in the resort business for decades. In fact, I was on a winter trout trip with Big Jim, the father of the clan, all the way in 1960.
superbee
Lost Island Lodge is a great choice if you are looking at Lac Seul. If you are wanting to go in June, better hurry and book. It may be to late already.
leechlake
New Moon Landing, Desi LaFreinire. Very reasonable and it's on the main land. Their is also New Moon Lodge which is on an island. Don't confuse the two. I've stayed at both and if you're a do it yourself angler go with New Moon Landing.Yes its on LOW.
prov1900
Check out Donnelly's Minnitaki Lodge on Lake Minnitaki. Walleye, Northern, Smallies, and giant lakers. Been going there at least once a year since 2007. Roughly a 45K acre lake and is relatively easy to fish for a first timer. Donnelly's will get you where you need to be. Great time of year to be there as well. We go opener or the week after in May and do exceptionally well, but the guys that come after us in June really hammer them. Walleye/Northern factory. PM me if you want anymore info. We are counting days till May.
