Agronomist_at_IA
I've made a few of my own spinners, and I noticed when I used 8lb line even with a swivel on the front the line becomes all twisted up. Anyone have any pointers? Do I just need to used 10lb or heavier line? Better swivel?
upnorth
I have had the same issues with lighter lines and spinners. I think you need a heavier and stiffer line to resist the drag of the clevis to twist the line.
Northlander
I use 12-20# line depending on what type spinners Im running. I laos use nothing but quick exchange clips and good barrel swivels. Very seldom have a issue with line twist.
Mr.Seaguar
I use 15 or 20# strength big game
CaptainMusky
I use 15# fluorocarbon for my spinners. Works great! No line twist at all, but I do use the SPRO barrel swivels too which are one of the best true ball bearing swivels in traditional retail outlets. TK Tack
I like 12 lb p-line leader line, can use for spinners and leaders.
