Now that was a great comeback last night. Down 17 pts at the 10 minute mark, missing pre-season Big Ten Player of the Year( Rachel Banham). They went on a 32-10 run to beat #12 Nebraska.Check them out if you can with the new coach. They play up tempo ball now.Great fun to watch

Have made 3 games so far and have watched several others live-streamed. They showed some grit and determination the other night at the Barn to be sure. Really seemed to play off of the small but vocal crowd. Odds are we'll get to more games as there are several season ticket holders locally. Lots of good seats available and easy in and out for parking. Makes it more interesting as our neighbor girl is playing. smile

Fer sure. Nice to see Carlie Wagner getting as much playing time and experience as she has. If she can avoid the injury bug looks like she has a lot of potential. For selfish reasons though hope Banham comes back next year.

Great comeback win over IN despite being down the entire game until just a little over a minute left. This following an impressive win over Ohio St. on the road. 16 - 2 on the season. Carlie Wagner is coming into her own and it's sounding possible that Rachel Banham may return for another season. Next game against Purdue on Thursday night. Invested in BTN Plus so can live stream the games we might not otherwise be able to see. Go Gophers! smile

They got 'er done. Mo Walker needs to watch film of Zahui B. to learn how to be more aggressive. Gets the 2nd triple double of her career. No other Gopher women's player has ever done that. Mullaney appeared to have an off night, turning the ball over 6 times but also had 12 assists. Had me concerned when they were down by 10 but this team seems to have a never say die attitude.

They come home and win after losing 3 in a row on the road and 4 of their last 5. Aside from a few stray cats, most of Bugtussle was on hand to witness Carlie Wagner's 25 point performance. Prolly a good thing coach Stollings was able to hang onto her. More home cooking forthcoming at the Barn with WI on Wednesday night at 7.

This is the squad to watch. Unranked at 21-6? A sophomore with over 1K points and throws up a 39-29, a new conference rebound record? While missing their best player for the season? If Banham gets the medical hardship redshirt as expected, this team could really be special next year. Wagner will be a year older with that excellent freshman class.

And this from a guy who really knows his buckets ladies and gentlemen... grin I knew there was a reason I bought that HDMI cable...lol. Seriously, this has been a fun team to watch. They've snuck up on people and while they haven't won all their games, they've been competitive even in most of their losses. Zahui was the big story last night but the rest of the team quietly adds to the victory. They go 15-16 from the line, grab another 14 boards to complement Zahui's 39, Wagner contributes 17 pts., Kelly 13, Bailey 10, Hirt 8 off the bench and Mulaney dishes 9 assists. Heading to the game on Saturday with some friends. Been fun watching them evolve. And as you say Scott, am looking forward to next year with more quickness and ball handling in the backcourt promised. cool

What a great game to watch. Puts the boys to shame. Just a note tickets for Sat.game against Michigan are discounted to just $5 for seat backs. I paid $15 last week. It's a black out game so best to wear black. Great time to take the kids for some cheap fun.Run and gun is so fun to watch. Go Gophers DrJ

Sure got our money's worth on that one! Double OT win over Michigan. Zahui notches her 20th double double of the season with 27 points and 27 boards. 3 Gopher women (Zahui, Kelley, Wagner) with 20 or more points. Sweet. Barn was rockin'. cool

Few expected this team to play as well as they have after losing Zahui to the pro's after last season. They may or may not make the tournament but it made them more interesting after Banham's big Sunday performance.

Great come from behind 78 - 76 win in spite of some questionable calls and a lopsided number of trips to the charity stripe in favor of IA on MN's home court. Gopher women kept their cool with Banham canning the winner at the buzzer for the W.

Sad to see Chase Coley from Mpls Washburn playing for the Hawkeyes and not the Gophers... My Daughter played against her team in HS and she was a monster in HS, and a pretty solid college big right now. Oh yeah and Peschel from Sauk Center is at IA also... is there a reason local kids are not at the U? Cause they are playing for the competition against us just fine...

Banham hit a game winner a week after dropping 60 in a game, she is rolling.

Ya I wish they keep a lot of people and she would've been one of them. One problem the U has right now is their academic standards are stiffer than some of these other schools. It's hurt the athletic recruiting big time. This is supposed to be a Land Grant school but that seems to have been largely forgotten. Right now the Gophers are loaded with guard talent and they need to get some decent low post players. The 6' 5" transfer from IA St. looks like a beast. She's been on the sidelines during pregame warmups. Name escapes me but also a MN girl. She should be able to help them right away after fall semester is over. Looks like some of their recruits are also addressing that.

Bummer last night losing to IN at IN but certainly nothing to be ashamed of. Their low post play exposes the weakness the Gophers have when the 3 ball isn't falling. And IN hasn't lost at home this year to anyone. Gotta find a way to win at least one of these last 3 games. Anything more than that would be icing on the cake and asking a lot.
