AKSalmonSlayers
Great weekend had for ice fishing in Alaska! Celebrating Thanksgiving and all the good things to be thankful for. Team Alaskan Salmon Slayer had action in 3 different regions over the weekend. Chris was icing sheefish 33 miles above the arctic circle, Paul was hitting the local lakes in the Anchorage Bowl, and I had a visit from some long time friends, and we hit up the Interior for lake trout and arctic char. Closing out November with ice fishing in the Interior, Northwest Slope, and South Central.... We love Alaska! Some photos from this past week: Eric K & Eric P caught personal best during their visit - both fish over 10 lbs and released with a strong kick. The 900 mile round-trip road trek paid off! Chris icing some decent sized sheefish (they eat like halibut) this one was not huge but a stunning example of the "Inconnu" or sheefish species. Paul & his twin boys had a winter fishing adventure closer to home (but will be seeing this coming week for some Hard Luck Lake trout) take them fishing and hook them for life:
