Gun Club or place for shooting a shotgun

Recommended Posts

My brother has a cabin near Webb Lake that I am heading up to in a few weeks and I was trying to find a place near there that we can shoot shotguns. I have been hunting most of my life but he has not and is going pheasant hunting this year so he asked if I would take him out to practice. In places I normally hunt I know of old gravel pits or public land where I can set up some targets and shoot but I don't know if there is any place like that near Webb Lake. If not, are there any public gun clubs that someone knows about in that area?

Thanks a lot.

The Grantsburg Rod and Gun club always used to have open trap and skeet shooting on Thursday evenings. I think you have to buy a membership, but it's only like 20 bucks. Kind of a haul from Webb Lake.

The Fishbowl Sportsmen's on Hwy 35 between Siren and Webster is closer to Webb Lake, but I'm not sure what they have for open trap shooting, you'd have to call them.

Coyland Creek, east of Siren, has sporting clays course.

Doesn't sound like any great public land options so I will check out those gun clubs. I appreciate the replies and hope one of them works out. Thanks!
