bonesteel
I know it is early but I haven't seen any activity on here for reports. My group will be heading up to start on Rainy the weekend of the 7th which is a little ways off. Just wondering if anyone has been out and how are you doing on walleye? Smallmouth? Pike? Locations? What are the water temps like? Lake levels? Any information is appreciated and I thank you in advance. Can never be to prepared.
Muskies
Good evening Bonesteel,I've been out and it is hit and miss for walleyes. Found them one day in 10-20 feet then the next in 4 feet. Jigs and minnow seems what they want but they're finicky. Bass seem to be in 10-20 feet but have not targeted them. Water temps in the main lake is 45-47 degrees with warmer in most bays. Water is high for this time of year but within the rule curve for Rainy. There are at least 10 waste gate open at the dam so lots of current. I'm guessing it will be fantastic by the time you arrive but what's new! It's always great to be on Rainy. Where ever you're staying, enjoy your your time here!
