Wiring it correctly to run it off the generator in the fish house. I believe the unit is set up for 12 volt and I'd like to get it wired so that I can just plug it in with the TV. I will only use the camera when the generator is running.

Is this something that is possible?

One way is to add a 12v battery and a on board AC charger. Another is a AC to DC converter. I bought a 3 amp one from Radio Shack for around 35.00. Or if you have a inverter style generator that is safe for electrical devices like computers etc and it has a 12v output that would work too.
