Day 1

Played the Rolling oaks course yesterday at World Woods, played about how I expected without swinging a club since December. Short game was abismal, borderline horendous! Heading back this morning to play Pine Barrons followed by a second round on the rolling oaks course. Had 4 "8's" on the card, my goal today is nothing more than a 6.......if my back survives today, I will be pleasantly surprised

I hope you want pics of the course not the scorecard?

It's golf, we have our days and then most of the days can be frustrating, at least you're playing. I always hope that during the off season I will lose by bad habits and keep the good things. Doesn't seem to work that way.

I used to hit a fade/slice and now I hit it right to left. Some days I wish I was a fader. It's a sport that never satisfies you but it's also fun hanging out with golf buddies.

Go get em next round.

We played Southern Hills Plantation, thanks to connections, pretty nice course, fastest greens I have ever played. We were all shocked on the putting green, but had a blast today. Tomorrow's rounds are in the works right now, talked with a member at Southhern hills and after a bit of friendly conversation, he started making some calls for us, Black Diamond is our final goal for tomorrow morning

The week of golf is over, heading back to MN tomorrow. Today's round was good, finally remembered that my full swing feels like a 3/4 swing. I have been pounding the tar out of my 3 wood, when it goes straight, I have been out driving my bro in laws. This winter I have been messing with my putting stroke this winter and tried it out this week, I feel comfortable doing it, and I felt more "touch" too.

Basically, i have 39" Cleveland Putter ( they call it an almost belly putter) and what I do is stand with an open stance, flip my left hand upsidedown, to hold the top of the putter, reach down low with my right and putt the ball. I am calling it "Half Saddle" putting. Not anchored, not a side saddle putting stroke, but within the rules...... Maybe later this year I will post a video of it.......
