St. John's River bed fishing?

So what does everyone think about the elite Tourney this week? 42 boats bed fishing in an 80 acre lake. I'm not against bed fishing but you would think this would have some impact on the spawners in that area. 4 days of taking fish out of the small of an area and not being returned. I'm sure there are plenty of fish in there but I was wondering what other people thought of it.

It's not an 80-acre lake, it's an 80-acre grass flat within Lake George where the boats are concentrated. It's a big river system, and I doubt is will have any impact on the fishery. Lake George alone is over 40,000 acres.

Oh gotcha. I thought it was just a backwater lake off the river that was only 80 acres. No problem then :-)

The bass spawn in Lake George from December until April.

Always fish moving up to spawn.

Chris Lane has not been sight fishing along with many others.

He was flipping and pitching grass edges yesterday which is what he likes to do.

Bed fishing happens for the entire time and there are tournaments every weekend and multiple tournaments during the week on that system.

Still produces Hawgs.

Millions of bass in that system and it might be the sight fishing capital of Florida.
