Troyer Never Fail Lift System

Sold my fish house yesterday and I've started my search for my next one. I came across a few of the Cascade and Grey Wolf that look nice, I like how they look more like a camper. I don't know much about them but I read two things that stood out to me one "insulated with bubble wrap insulation" what the hell? The other is "one crank Troyer Never Fail Lift System with a solid axle". Anyone know how this works I can't find any pics or info on it.

The bubble wrap insulation is what many call 'reflectix'. It's decent, though I wouldn't insulate an entire fish house with it. It's more for smaller jobs like wrapping ductwork. Many around here have insulated their portable shelters with it and have had good results, but that is just to add a slight r value that fabric has none of. In a permanent you'd want a bit more than just some bubble wrap to be comfortable.

Reflective bubble wrap insulation only has an R value of about 1. It is used as a radiant heat loss insulation, not as a conductive heat loss insulation. You need an air space on both sides of the wrap for it to be most effective.

Well I emailed the company about the bubble wrap and here is their reply....

"Bubble wrap is actually better then spray foam, and a lot more expensive too. They use that to insulate oil rigs. The floors have batting and their spray foam around the holes."

I'd like to see how and exactly what they use but as of right now I'm still skeptical. ...

If they actually believe bubble wrap is better insulation I would not be buying anything from them. Here is an idea... Take one layer of bubble wrap and lay it on the cold -20 ground, sit your bare butt on it. Then do the same with a 1-1/2" of Styrofoam or spray foam. I think you will see the difference. I know which one I will be sitting on. This has been discussed on many other forums with always the same response, that bubble wrap is garbage for insulation.
