Revo Premier Spinning Reel

I would like to hear people's review of this reel. I have never tried one but I just bought one online and received it on Friday. It seems very noisy- not too impressed with it for the amount of money I paid for it but you can't really tell until you fish with it for awhile.

I have no experience with that reel, but!! Many times the heavy grease they use from the factory will cause a reel to be noisy.

The first thing I do with any new reel is to clean and relube it.

A lot of times, people will judge a reel how it sounds when they reel it really fast in a store just off the shelf. Well, as stated above, sometimes they do have a bit of extra grease, but honestly its not a good test as its not something you would do in a real world fishing experience. my guess, if you put line on it and fish with it, you will not notice it at all.

I just was looking at one at Reeds in Walker today. It sure seemed sweet to me. Smooth as silk and quiet . I'm a Shimano guy, but, it made me think about a Revo.

I bought a Revo S last year and really like it. Not noisy at all. The only thing i didn't like is that there is one caphead screw holding the side plate on and the spool in. During one fishing outing my hand most have rubbed too often on the screw and the entire side plate and spool fell off into the water. Joe's gave me a brand new reel since i bought it there. I'm more careful now.
