Power Pro line color

Bobby Bass

Recommended Posts

Have been using Power Pro for years and my color of choice has been the green. I am thinking of buying a big bulk spool to do all my rods and the daughters so I am curious as to what others prefer in color. The Green, Yellow or Red?

from someone who actually is on the staff from Power Pro, do not bother with the red.. please.. unless you like pink shirts.. I like the green the brown equally, for fishing weeds.. I like the blue for fishing topwater frogs.. though I doubt that matters..

If green isnt broke.. stick with the green.

I am going to use the hi vis yellow for flippin and punchin this year. Will use a permanent marker to color the first 6 or 7 feet of line.

I have used green and brown.

I am currently in the process of switching all my braid to Tuff Line only use Power Pro on a few reels now, will switch them next year.

Hey DD! I have red on two of my reels!!! grin Yes it does turn pink after a while. Doesn't bother me since I know several gals that have fought breast cancer. I have green on a couple of rods( musky and frogging), but use yellow on most of them. I like being able to see the line. I do darken the first few feet or use a flouro leader thou.

I know for a fact that I will miss fish because I can't see the green braid in certain situations. I have used high vis yellow and red over the years and color the last 3-4 feet with a marker. Make sure to do this with dry line. The color won't stick to wet line for me. I have been using high vis braid on my kids reels too. Let's me watch their line out of the corner of my eye. Bass can be pretty dumb. Plenty of bites with straight high vis line with no leader or marker on the last 3-4 feet too.
