VMC Spinshot Hooks

I tried them they seemed to catch mossy weeds more easily but did help with line twist for sure. The other thing I did not like was additional knot which is a problem with flouro which does not like knots in the 1st place. I have since switched back to a Gamikatsu dropshot #2 and a lunker city ribster as my go to drop shot rig as it does not twist the line. Google blogs from Rich Zalinski about drop shotting and ribster. It was just as effective as the spinshot for stopping line twist. He has some informative article about drop shotting.

I like that they are fairly simple (good knot on top, who cares knot on the bottom, and make sure the hook bend is on the bottom). I have a couple in case I get so desperate I have to actually be bored out of my skull to catch a fish. Honestly, just shoot me if you ever see me with a Carolina Rig. To each their own though and to repeat, I like them for their apparent simplicity and ease of set-up should I ever have to resort to them.

I use the smaller ones, I think #4 or 6 with my lighter more finesse drop shot rig. 7lb test flouro, using a robo worm for example. On a heavier set up I just use a smaller Ewg hook for craws or an offset worm hook for senko's. Using a traditional style hook I just tie a Palomar and run the tag end back through the eye let down to the weight.
