POSSIBLE RECORD WALLEYE!

This 41 inch monster Walleye (weight unknown) was caught thru 14 inches of ice just north of Catawba Island in 27 ft. of water by one lucky ice fisherman. A buddy of mine who is an ice fishing guide on Put-In-Bay sent me this picture today.

Estimated weight is 20-22 lbs making it one of the largest Walleye ever caught in the entire country. They are waiting for the weight to be officially verified but it looks to have completely smashed the previous state record of 16 lbs 3oz.

How can I cut and paste a picture of this monster in this post?

There is another one floating around recently that claims to be the new Catch and Release World record at a reported 35" and 14lb 10oz

Caught on Ontario's Bay of Quinte.

These Catch and Release records only require a submitted length and witness signature, so no official verification. Its an honor system.

I get a kick out of him. Sort of a quiet guy. laugh He drives my wife crazy. So I see he is doing the ol' arms outstretched trick we have all done to make the fish look bigger. I wonder if he actually caught it or someone he was with and then he took the glory. lol Whatever it is a nice fish.
