Does anyone have one of these and do you think it works? I see more and more pros using them.

I was given a similar type product to test this year... I have yet to use it so I can not give an opinion yet. I will say that I am QUITE skeptical, but I will give it a fair chance.

The one I am testing is a underwater speaker that you hook your phone too, and you buy/download an app that has the different sounds.

give me a few months of open water season and I'll have an opinion by then.

He's not joking this time. I was gonna boat over and talk to him last Fall and I couldn't even get within 50ft of his boat! He had a solid swarm of Bass and Pike frothing around his boat, even a few turtles too! It was hard to shout over the noise of those fish. He finally had to turn the darn things off!

Being serious though, this does sound kinda like a gimmick to me. If it does work, then it almost doesn't seem like it would be considered fair chase either. Almost like chumming then.

I won't be buying one. I guess if it is legal to use them and everyone else is in a tournament, then I don't blame a guy for trying one.

Just wondering because when I was watching the press conference after the classic Randy Howell said he used one but wasnt sponsored by them and I know KVD has used one for years. It does seem kinda hokey to me too.

You should try the Bombshell Turtle Lure. Apparently Bass hate turtles.

Seriously though, KVD Kreit and a few others own The Hydrowave company of course they say they use it and it works.

The Hydrowave must not have worked very well this weekend for KVD.

Everyone needs to lighten up and not take themselves so serious.

If a sarcastic comment about a product gets such a negative reaction you all need to lighten up.

Following the Classic coverage this weekend I heard a lot about all the spectator boats pinging away with sonar and making noise disturbed some fish guys were targeting.

So how does pumping more noise into the water make sense?

I have seen them make a difference in a boat that was fishing very close to me last summer.

I haven't used one or seen one, but why wouldn't this work even a little? Fish have brains the size of peanut, why wouldn't the sound of a feeding frenzy get them a little more fired up. I like to consider myself fairly intelligent, but if someone is eating ribs near me, I usually feel very strongly that I also want ribs and I might be willing to go as far as knocking the other guy out to take his ribs.

I'm not saying the Hydrowave is the greatest invention ever, but we know that piles of fish that have been dormant can suddenly trigger and "turn on". That is often competition for food or some other factor. Why wouldn't the sound of fleeing baitfish or crawdads being crunched help trigger? Go on Youtube, their are countless videos of fish tank tests where the hydrowave is turned on and every fish in the take turns to look or go investigate.

You obviously do not read much in this forum.

Learn to locate and pattern fish and not rely on the latest gimmick to put more and bigger fish in the boat.

The Hydrowave is right up there with The Flying Lure, Lazer Lure and The Banjo Minnow.

Frankly the Hydrowave is a rip off of the BioSonix device.

Apparently having a dissenting opinion about a KVD product is not allowed in this forum.
