Best underwater camera

Im looking for an underwater camera, looking for recommendations. Looking to spend no more than $300. I want a color one. I also want to be able to hook it up to my flat screen Tv. MarCum, Aqua-vu or Vexilar ?

If you only want to spend $300 you aren't going to get anything that good that is new. Marcum makes the best color cameras. You might be able to get a new one with a smaller screen for $300 with the end of year sales going on though.

did you check out fish phone by vex? works great on a tablet. or else the micro vu for something small for being on the move

I was going to buy a color, but the salesman talked me out of it, because he said you have to be in very clear water for them to stay in color otherwise most of the time your looking at black and white anyway...I have the Marcum 385 and it works great you can get the color version for $350 B&W for $300...I would go with Aqua view or Marcum, my brother got a Vex camera and he likes mine over his...

Aqua-vu AV715c is $299.99, are they any good?

I really like my AV715c. For a new $300 camera it is very nice & has your video out for the TV also. I have not tried the TV out option. I fish on dirty lakes & can still see the fish clearly. If you get over 20 foot this year with all the snow cover, all cameras are going to be in black in white mode. So do not panic that is normal. Color is nice in the early, late & shallow areas. It is very handy to be able to see green or brown colored weeds.
