how much gas does a generator use?

We are renting a sleeper house this weekend in SD and we are bringing our own generator for power. A friend of mine is borrowing one from a co worker, and we are very inexperienced with them. We are wondering how much gas we have to bring with for a 48 hour trip? I'm not sure the size of the generator or if that makes a big difference or not. It is 4 guys in a 8 by 16 house if that helps. Thanks

Anywhere from 12-14 hours per gallon on the Honda and Yamaha, up to 6 gallons+ per day with some of the cheap "champion" generators.
