2nd Annual Bro in Law trip

Well we are heading back to FLA this year. We will be staying at World Woods Golf Club which has phenominal courses (2) and hopefully a round at tpc Tampa. We played world woods last year for $50 a round with a cart, and basically had the course to ourselves. This place has a 360* driving range and the biggest practice green I have ever seen. I have a little over a month to get rid of the shanks, good thing ice fishing season will be over soon

If it were me I'd skip the TPC Tampa bay and play the Copperhead course at Innisbrook. Another nice course that is up by world woods is The Dunes, we used to play there alot because it was a similar course to the Pine Barrens and it was closer and cheaper.

TPC TB is a pretty typical FL course with water on almost every hole and the "stadium" design is pretty cool but it doesn't really have the wow factor. The price is pretty steep too. When I was 14-16 (15 years ago) I was a bag boy at a course that was 15 mins from there and we played it a couple times a month. I always noticed that the last 4 holes were the best and prettiest holes on the course becaus ethey are the "tv" holes. The Copperhead course is tight and has some deep bunkers and is a completely different course all together.

Another good course would be The Eagles Forrest Course, great layout and might be worth squeezing in.

Sounds like a great trip no matter what and I'm jealous! I have to wait until the end of April for our guys trip and it looks like we have to head sould to the Wisco Dells again..

Thanks 10K, we played Sawgrass last year, for free (except for caddie fees) and my BIL is trying to see what he can swing for us at some private courses down in the Tampa/ Ocala area. (I realize I just grouped two not so close area's together, but he has contacts in both areas, amongst others.) He is working some angles and I trust we will all be impressed with where we play. At least this year, we won't be driving 90 min.+ each way to courses like last year. Of course we won't be staying in a 100 year old log cabin on Lake Little Sante Fe either, but a town house in Brooksville...I was looking forward to heading back to Palataka Country Club though....

p.s. Thanks for the tip about the Dunes, I will look into that

sounds fun.. 360 degree driving range? how do you get in the middle without loosing teeth?

It may have been a 360 yard range, unless there is a tunnel and you come up through the middle and shot balls 360 anywhere off it? Not sure how that would work either? confused
