MN BassFisher
After the big Turkey day Kerri, my buddy Al, and I headed west to the mountains. We drove about 3 hours and reached the town of Eagle, CO. About 15 miles south we arrived at our cabin in the woods. A quaint and cozy cabin is what we found. It was mainly shaded by tall Pines and Aspens. We spent a lot of time on the ice on Saturday and Sunday and found a lot of trout that liked what we were offering. Between the 3 of us we easily caught over 150 trout, the majority of them were Rainbows, a handful of Brook trout, and a few cutbows. It was a great time on the ice and I was able to teach Kerri and Al how to use a flasher, how to change your presentation in front of a fish, how to bait the hooks, how to use a Jaw Jacker, and how to identify different species of trout. MN BassFisher
Sounds like a great trip.Do you own the cabin or do you rent it? Nope, we just rented it for the weekend! If you look on the DOW's HSOforum you can find the registration. It was a blast and the fish were very cooperative!
