concentric drive ? for Dave

Does your buds Scrambler have the concentric drive, or did that start in 98. Is it true that the concentric helped a lot with excess chain wear or what is the whole deal with the concentric? I have been told not to buy any of the chain drive Polaris' unless they had the concentric but I can't exactly remeber the reasoning i had given to me.

Hmmmm..... I really can't remember exactly when concentric drive came out. I pretty sure '97 didn't have it yet.

On the Concentric Drive System, the swing arm's pivot point is aligned with the center of the drive sprocket. As a result, the rear suspension is not affected by engine torque. This also results in a consistent chain tension at all times throughout suspension movement, reducing wear and decreasing the need for adjustment and maintenance.
