Cleaning my boat hull

Try a vinegar water mix. Start with it pretty diluted and keep adding more vinegar until it starts to cut the scum. Best way is to put it in a squirt bottle. Spray the hull, always keep it wet and let soak for a bit and then start scrubbing!

50/50 mix of white vinigar and water will do the trick.... also geat at cleaning your electronics screens

+1

you can try lime away also but test on a inconspicuous area first. I used it to clean my StarCraft ,but it was a non painted hull.

product called ducky ...dont know where you can get it but works pretty good

Ducky is a toilet bowl cleaner. It should be almost any where that sells cleaning supplies.

I've used ZING for aluminum boats the last two times. It smells (and tastes) like Lime-Away. Spray it on, scrub a bit for the tougher stains, then rinse VERY well. Wear your googles if you have to go underneath (it stings, trust me). After your done, wash and wax it just to make sure you get all that stuff off. I will be trying the toilet bowl cleaner next though.

Thanks for the input everyone. I ended using the 50/50 vinager and water. It worked great plus it was cheap. My boat is 10 years old now and it looks like new. A vinager wash then a wax did wonders. Thanks again.

I just viewed this post so it is a bit late.JJVs best absolutely rocks!!! I had my new boat docked in Mille Lacs since opener. When i took it out to clean the hull last weekend it was absolutely brown, scummy etc. & I was worried about getting it clean! Sprayed on JJVs best let it sit for a couple minutes and sprayed it off. No scrubbing, worrying about damamging the hull. It definitely works as advertised! A white hull boat that sparkles like it just came off the showroom floor!
