Lowrance Elite basemap

I havent seen a lowrance unit without insight or navionics installed, my question is does the basemap have any MN lakes mapped out, or is it pretty useless?

The base maps are basically useless. You will need Navionics, LakeMaster, or the Insight Pro map cards to get any accurate / usable detail.

Kinda figured that to be the case.

Looks like some of the HDS models come with insight maps, going to have to figure out which maps those are.

The Insight USA basemap is worthless, the Insight Pro and Insight HD map cards are very detailed.

Simple rule of thumb ..... if it's a built-in base map, it's junk. This goes for HB and Lowrance.

yeah, same for handheld units, gotta buy upgraded maps to get the information you want.
