Wish-I-Were-Fishn
Is Gama line good, or a gimmic? I picked some up at the Sportshow to try it out this year.
OnAFly
Seemed a bit stiffer to me than the Trilene XL. I used it for a couple years and then switched back to XL. Not a bad line, just a preference I think.
Meat-Run
Gamma line is the real deal, very strong, maybe a little on the stiff side for some folks but I can fish successfully with 4lb where others normally would use 6lb for walleyes, I will not go back to Berkley anytime soon. All my walleyes caught this week in the middle of the sheet ice was with Gamma 4lb... Sorry for the turned picture but you get the idea. Chris Barlage
I love it. I have used it year round for the last 6 years. Its a copoly so it gives you small diameter. Has less memory than mono. For me it has worked well, nice and strong.
Deitz Dittrich
by far my fave copoly on the market today..
paceman
I have been very happy with Gamma. It has been my goto line for about 3 years. I have found it to be very tough and yet sensitive. It is on most of my walleye rods.
PRO-V
Been my #1 for 7 or 8 years on my walleye rods. Stands up to the rocks and teeth in Canada very well. Use 6# all the time fishing as much as 40 feet deep. Will handle a big fish. Used Trilene XL for years and would go back if this wasn't available. Northlander
Great line if you can find it. I love the 12# for trolling boards. Anyone who can find the 4# and 6# is lucky.
Down Deep
I love Gamma. Trouble is I can't find it in the 10lb and under. I've haven't been able to locate online either. I need 4 & 6 lb. Any ideas??????

You can get it on black knights web page.
Deitz Dittrich
As C.B. said, it was bought by a new company. I talked to the owner at the sportshow and it sounds like it will be available again soon.
Fish Head
As C.B. said, it was bought by a new company. I talked to the owner at the sportshow and it sounds like it will be available again soon. They better hurry up. Now is the time when most people are buying line to re-spool. If they wait much longer they're going to loose out on a lot of sales. Deitz Dittrich
fish head- trust me, as I said, I talked to the owner. I used to be on the Gamma pro-staff before they sold out. Im addicted to the line! The problem at this point is not the owner or the product Gamma, its stores. Until they feel there is a demand for the line, they will not order it. The owner of the company is out there trying to sell it to the stores, but they are not buying because people have not asked for it. Ask for it.. talk to the fishing department managers.. Chris Barlage
If you want it order it from there web page. Don't have to wait in line that way!
OnAFly
If I managed one of these stores, I would be on these forums everyday. Half of everything on here is people talking about the stuff they want to buy. It's free market research!

Ray Esboldt
Another vote for Gamma. DD got me on that stuff, and it is really the only stuff I trust on spinning rods that is not flouro.
TrophyEyes
It is the best line I have used. When they sold I went out and bought everything I could find, but finally ran out the middle of last year. Now I am using suffix but wouldn't hesitate to go back to gamma. It is still out there but you have to look for it. Our L&M in Cloquet has the shelves stocked with 4 to 14lb test. You can also but it straight from their store. The company is called blackknightindustries
