Nice post! I've been pouring jigs and sinkers most of my life and your process looked very efficient.

One comment on the safety, always preheat the metal before adding it to the melt. Cold metal can instantly condense water and will actually explode out of the pot. Very exciting when that happens!

you mean its bad to breath it in?

I have heard that it isn't too good. Hopefully I don't know from personal experience, although we used to pour jigs an sinkers in the basement when I was young and ignorant.

Boy you guys saved yourselves tons of money making that many weights! I really need to do the same. Now that my kids are old enough to go catfishing with me, we tend to go thru a bit more tackle! whistle
