Anyone doing any good? Whats the weather Like for you? I know a guy that went down and said that he only seen 2 toms broke away from the others. Otherwise mostly big groups yet! He did have snow on the ground to!!

I leave tomorrow should be still big flocks. Talked to two of the 3 land owners and thye still have over 200 birds coming into there cattle yards. Going to be a bit before they really start to break away. Last year with the warm start to spring was the first year I've been down there for early archery when they were busted up already. Going to be a normal spring hunt this year.

Call them hens in and the toms will follow. grin

We just got back from a week down there. The birds were all still roosting and spending most of the day in large flocks.

By the end of the week as the temps got warmer, the birds started to show some mating behavior, but in general they were very unresponsive to calls or competition. Everything was still very social.

Powerstroke. Thanks for the update. Whats the thoughts on the opener for you come april 17 here. Still a foot of snow as of sat. in the s.e. of minnesota. Hows it look where you are going. Things can change overnite in a BIG hurry here though!
