HandGunner
Theres a new SUP fishing craze basickly someone decided to start fishing off his Stand Up Paddleboard. My girlfriend has a surf board sail board thingymajig i was thinking since they never used it should i try SUP fishing out of it? Whats the pros and cons of fishing from a SUP vs my inflatable boat i just baught? If i stuck a motor on that SUP would i then need to register it? Do all SUP's need registratio regardless? This is very interesting i would like some input and thoughts to this whole new craze.
ted4887
If it's a watercraft longer than 9', then yes, I would imagine it does need to be licensed. Other than that, I really don't have much of an opinion yet on SUP fishing. I will likely be giving it a try this summer though. It can't hurt, right? tolle141
Would be a fun open water platform. There are some vids of guys catching sailfish or tuna on them. I've never tried one, but I can imagine they paddle like a dock. If it was my only option I'd definitely rock it.
mainbutter
I use the board off a windboard (no sail) as a paddle board at my grandparent's place in Michigan. It makes a great platform for chasing down turtles, and does make a perfectly usable floating platform for fishing.I still prefer my canoe back here at home, and have just as good balance for standing.
