geese...it's not over yet!!!

there is goose season up here in Grand Rapids still for a while. doesn't do much good though when there's no open water. guess i'll have to head south

Six of us went out last Friday and got 12 birds by 9:30. It was real slow at first, as birds constantly gave us the fly by. But persistence paid off and within a half hour we had a flock of five come in and got all 5, flock of four come in and got 2, a flock of three and got all three and then a pair. Had to call our guts out to get the birds to respond. There is a ton of birds in the Rochester area right now. I was also out Saturday aftenoon by Elgin and saw thosands of geese, they're every where though.

There are birds everywhere around here. Thursday we bagged 8, friday 21, saturday 10 and sunday 1.
