I just bought a jiffy 8" pro4 auger. Would it be alright if I put a 10" jiffy auger bit from a model 30 that was 15 years old on the pro4?

It will work but not as efficient as the 8" STX drill assembly you have.

The STX has the two extra blades on the pilot point and the 10" you are referring to does not.

If you are drilling a few holes go for it.

Like said it will work not as fast but nice to have the option if you must drill a 10 inch.

for the fish you catch you should be checking out 6 inch blades... Welcome to the forum......
