More changes to MN Waterfowl Hunting?

Recommended Posts

My understanding is that this a result of more and more depredation permits and in some places, resident, overwintering birds...the depredation permits are probably a result of $8 corn, but that's a story for another time and place.

I don't think you'll ever see Canadas treated like snows because of the huge life history differences and the finite amount and delicate nature of snow goose nesting habitat. There are still retired waterfowl biologists that can remember the days when seeing a giant Canada Goose was a real thrill.
