Just the Vexilar lithium for now. I tried ordering a Dakota last year from a store that was sold out but it never came in. The Vex batteries have been enough of an improvement to be happy with so far.
Heading up to Walleye Retreat tomorrow for the weekend. This will be our third trip in as many years. We are going about 3 weeks earlier than usual so we are hoping to get into a little better bite. They do not have a restaurant/bar so you need to be self-sufficient.
Back in the late 90's I was with a group of 6 that stayed at Cyrus resort for a few years but again we usually went in late February when fishing was probably the toughest. Cyrus had a nice restaurant/bar so they offered a meal plan that we liked.
Can check their websites for pricing.
Both places have treated us well, the cabins were nice, and prices were competitive.
I found a piece of ice fishing equipment in west central Minnesota. Detroit Lakes, Pelican Rapids area. Tell me what you lost, what lake, and how long ago and I'll give you directions to pick it up.
They’ve been $70 at our local bait shop. You can spend more on em of course. I’ve always carried at least one back up lead acid and paid $25 each for 9 Ah. All my lead acids aged out this year so I bit the bullet and replaced with lithium. No back ups needed, or even a charger for a whole weekend for that matter.
It’s easier to see the value now.
