stillwaterangler
Anyone had any luck with the Honda 3 wheelers for ice fishing? I was looking at a few but just wondered if anyone uses one.
MinnGuy
Bullet proof. Those Hondas last forever. Like any wheeler, deep snow might be a problem.
MikeRaetz
I actually watched a video on how a guy customized his 3 wheeler by putting a ski in the front with chains on the back tires and he could go threw almost anything. That would be a great idea for someone wanting a cheaper machine to haul gear.
Nordern
Before 4-wheelers lots of people used 3-wheelers including myself. They work just fine except, as others mentioned, when you get into deep snow.
IceHawk
used one for years until I got a 4 wheeler they work fine until the snow gets real deep.

So thats when i switch to the sled.
ice_medic
I had one and it worked great. Deeper snow was a problem but when I put chains on the tires in the back end it seemed like problem solved. Until the sled or the house I was hauling got stuck in the snow and then the wheeler went over backwards. I learned just don't go as fast then. Otherwise I would do it all over again I loved having that honda and it was bullet proof.
uffdapete
I used a Yamaha 200 for 7 years up here and it worked very well in up to 10-12" of snow. Carried gear in a plywood box on the back rack, with an Eskimo Quikfish 3 atop the box and an auger on the front and eliminated towing. BronzeBrother
I have a 1985 Honda 125m that still runs to this day... Those things are amazing for durability!
