mrth0201
Has anyone ever seen a portable rattle reel that can be used on the ice or on the floor in a permanent ice house??I picture this as an metal framed piece that sits on each side of the hole with a metal extension coming up over the hole with a rattle wheel attached to it. You could move this to other holes in the house without having to drill into the walls. Thinking about something like this for my ice house. MNCPRGUY
I have used the Rattlesnake Multi-flex Rattle Reel in perms and my portable shelter before. They can be attached to just about anything and it wouldn't take much to create a floor bracket like you are suggesting for them.
Chumba
We rented a couple times on Mille lacs last year, and not all of the houses had them, so I bought a couple cheap ones from FF and simply screwed them to a thin 2x4 that fit across the hole of the floor. There was enough room hanging down that the rattles were not in the water.. Just picked the whole thing up when a fish hit. Worked well for a quick fix. LindellProStaf
I have wall mounts on pails so I can use Lindells in rental houses and out on open ice.
NCLaker
Why not use a tip up for this. Same idea only it is visual instead of audible
