Just curious what everyone else does for keeping food "refrigerated" yet not frozen when they are out on the ice. Im taking a trip to Lake of the Woods in Januray and just wondering if everyone uses the ice chest method without any ice or if someones come up with a better idea.

on my weekends on the ice ive always used the ice chest method but sometimes when you get those really cold days all your food and or pop/beer/water freezes in the chest.

What are some of your tricks for this. Everyone loves to eat so im sure im not the only one having this issue.

As Truth has already said, under the house usually works great (if there's no snow and you can't bank the house, it won't work as well, however). We usually just dedicate one hole in the permanent house to be the "fridge," and don't put a hole sleeve down that one.
