Kyle Posted September 18, 2012 Share Posted September 18, 2012 I've read the DNR regs on this type of set. My understanding is that the trap has to be set 7inches inside from all openings. So having one of the sides of a box extend 7inches beyond the others would NOT be a legal box. My understanding is that this is the rule for all conibear sizes unless the trap is completely submerged in water, or if it is just a blind set/no box...So basically if you want to set a box set or the like with a conibear, the trap has to be inside the box by 7inches?
