BuschPilot Posted September 17, 2012 Share Posted September 17, 2012 I got an 18k empire direct vent furnace in my new carsella shack and am wondering if there is anyway possible to hook up a wall mounted thermostat into those. i can't find much. just thought it would be more convenient. thanks! Smoker Posted September 17, 2012 Share Posted September 17, 2012 On the gas valve there should be 2 spades that are labled T and TH. Connect the wires to them from your thermostat. Icedemon2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Share Posted September 23, 2012 The 18k Empire heater uses a capillary style thermostat which is part the gas valve. So there is not much options for a wall thermostat. The 15k Empire uses a static electric current so a normal wall thermostat is used.
