Sturg
I still have two females hitting the feeder. In between visits they like to watch the feeder from a mountain ash tree. Being tiny and green they blend right in. The last shot I took at dusk with the flash. The flash gives them marble eyes.
Jim Almquist
Cool Shots!! I have not seen one for 3 days now so my guess is the last of the stranglers have gone south. Any day now the Juncos should show up. One leaves and one arrives
MN Shutterbug
It is hard to spot in the first couple pics. I like the feather detail on Marble Eye. As of yesterday, I also still had 2 females hanging around. They spend time in my Amur Maple while keeping an eye on the feeder. I refilled the feeder yesterday, but I suspect that it was the last time for the year.
Dotch
Very cool! Particularly like the little eye peering through the foliage in the first one. Still a couple hummers here this a.m. Suspect the cool down will move them south soon. Did likewise and mixed a half-batch of sugar water, cleaned the feeders and refilled them for what will likely be the last time this season.
