nige
Going to be deer hunting for the first time ever this year. I have a Winchester 16ga or Stoger 12ga. Which one should I use?

Finlander
Go with the 12 gauge! More selections of slugs to choose from.
Gordie
Is it tough to find 16ga slugs? Federal still makes them and I also think winchester still makes them. I have a about 30 of them. The 16ga is a great slug for deer. Chances are the 16 is not rifled as I have never seen one and I have searched for many years with no luck and I wish they did make one casue its a great slug. I would take both out and see which gun shoots best I would also think that you could get a rifled choke tube for the stoger and make it that much more accurate.
