tecumseh 2hp motor ?

hi being they are no longer made. i was going to buy a auger with this motor on it. is this dumb and would i have problems getting parts later thanks

I dont think it is dumb. These motors were made forever and it is not at all hard to find parts for. Also, there are many after market manufacturers for tecumseh parts.

I have a 2hp on my Jiffy that is about 4 yrs old, so they only quit making them on augers a few years ago. I think you couldn't go wrong buying one if it is a good deal. Mine runs good yet. It really perked it up when I switched to the Amsoil Saber oil.

Grab it while you can!!! The Tecumseh engines are practically bulletproof, and parts are readily available just about anywhere for them. A solid workhorse of an engine.
