suckers for ice fishing question

hi now that we have to change water every time out. is this going to be a pain for tip up fishing anyone quit live bait for pike. i really like to fish for them but never had luck just jigging. just looking for thoughts

that requirement was removed for during the ice season as long as you are not fishing a lake that has the VHS virus in it.

here is the section of this release that talks about it.

■Portable bait containers used while fishing through the ice do not need to be drained before leaving a water body, unless the water body has been declared to have viral hemorrhagic septicemia (VHS), a virus that is deadly to fish.
