Auger Tune-up in West Metro

Just curious if anyone has recommendations for a good place in the west metro to take my strikemaster for a tune-up before the season starts. It was running a bit rough at the end of the season last year. How much does something like this generally run a guy? Thanks

If you're half-way mechanical you could pull the carb and clean it yourself for the price of a can of carb cleaner and 15 minutes of your time. I still run my Mag III because it won't die and do little more than a fresh plug and clean the carb about every 2-3. OFr a quick can of courage do a search on "How to Clean a Two-Cycle/Two-Stroke Engine Carburetor" or sneak in the engine maker (Tecumseh, etc) into your search string.

If you're still apprehensive, any reputable small engine shop should do the trick for $60-80 depending on how old/ busy they are.

From what I have heard, the Big Lake location is no more. When Rapala bought them, they relocated to Minnetonka. Elsewhere on here someone said to get there take 169 to Bren road, and head west. There is an office back in the Opus loop area somewhere.

D-rock has repitched my auger many times over the years and I have never been disappointed with the service.

I would add an ounce of seafoam motor tune to the tank and fill with fresh mixed gas and run it for 10 to 15 minutes before bringing it in for service.
