Can you put your bait in something on Public ground?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

Just a quick and dumb question.

Can you put a bait in something on public ground to keep coons and deer out of it??? Or do you just toss some logs over it? Hollowed stump? Wood box?

In Wisconsin we had to place it so deer and other animals couldn't touch it.

Yea the regs say on state land that u cant use drums pails garbage bags or other containers. But wats the definition of a container, sometning that contains the bait I suppose. Ive heard that some people build bait boxes, but that would be a container wouldnt it.

Thanks guys!

I set my baits (2) out on Friday and covered them with logs.

Just checked them, the first one hasn't been hit yet. The second one has been found!!!! The only down side is that I forgot to turn the camera set up mode off............No pictures frown

I won't be able to check them again until Thursday. Hopefully they will find the other bait too smile
